Walter Friedman has been practising group and individual psychotherapy for over twenty years after many years of training in Eastern and Western psychological systems.
He has made overcoming shyness and improving social skills his area of special clinical interest, in part because he was very shy himself in his teens and twenties. He has ”been there” and knows intimately the fears, anxieties and inhibitions associated with shyness.
In the Clinic he has synthesized a practical, results-oriented approach to overcoming shyness which combines awareness training with the most current cognitive-behavioral techniques. He has found that developing greater personal awareness and a new philosophy of life is a necessary foundation for successful treatment.
